Halloween Parade Poster 🎃🦇✨

Every year around halloween, the little town of Douglas Michigan has a parade fit for kings... Jack the Pumpkin King that is! Over 12,000 people from all over the midwest show up for the 2+ hour parade to see thousands of creative costumes, floats and more... So it was a huge honor to be the illustrator for the posters, postcards and t-shirts!

My inspiration for this poster came from a variety of places, but mainly old comics and vintage movie posters. I always work traditionally first and go back in digitally to add details and color; a pencil and paper are my best friends.

Almost all of the people depicted in the poster are actual people and costumes seen in the parade in year's past. All of them were so fun to draw and each person had so much character, I just LOVED it!!

If you ever find yourself near the little town of Douglas around Halloween time, stick around for the parade, but don't forget to dress up!!
